Last month, HTC and telecom operator KDDI introduced to the Japanese market smartphone HTC J Butterfly , which is an improved version of HTC One (M8). Today HTC announced its new flagship smartphone Butterfly 2 for the Asian region. This model is a complete copy of the previously released HTC J Butterfly. Unlike the original HTC One (M8), Butterfly has 2 Water resistant plastic housing made in several colors.
HTC Butterfly 2 has a 5-inch Full HD-display, quad-core Snapdragon processor 801 with a clock frequency of 2.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, front stereo speakers, 13-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. New products will be delivered with a preinstalled operating system Android 4.4 KitKat.
The smartphone will go on sale in Japan for telecom operator KDDI called HTC J Butterfly, September 2 will be in Taiwan as HTC Butterfly 2 and later will be available in other parts of Asia. About the beginning of sales in the rest of the world, nothing is known.
