At the IFA 2014 the company Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced technology TransferJet, which allows wireless data transfer at high speed between the various devices that are in close proximity to each other. Data transfer is automatically initiated by contact of the two devices, and to define and limit the list of allowed devices to connect their owners can do.
TransferJet technology is simple to use, secure connections and high capacity - the maximum effective data transfer rate up to 375 Mbit / s, which allows you to send 20-second Full HD video from one device to another in just one second. To transfer a file just touch one gadget to another (eg, a smartphone to laptop) and confirm the transfer - everything else is instantaneous.
First TransferJet adapters for mobile phones and tablets running the operating system Android, will be delivered in a format microUSB, and for computers that are running Microsoft Windows - format USB.
Initially adapters should go on sale in retail stores in Central Europe. Manufacturer's suggested retail price of a set of two USB-key fobs will be 59 euros. At the end of this year or early in 2015 it is expected that there will be on sale and the first commercial devices using the technology of Toshiba TransferJet.
