Apple released OS X Yosemite GM Candidate 2.0 and Public Beta 5

Along with the iOS 8.1 beta 2 , Apple has released the second version of the GM-and fifth public beta operating system OS X 10.10. OS X Yosemite GM Candidate 2.0 and OS X Yosemite Beta 5 is recommended for all users, the testing desktop operating system for the Mac. The update is available for download via the Mac App Store.

OS X Yosemite GM Candidate 2.0 came out a week after the first assembly in the status of Gold Master . The release of the latter, in turn, took four months and eight testing beta versions of the operating system. Gold Master is the latest test build and it usually goes no change in the status of the final release.
Platform OS X Yosemite continues the direction that was set last year with the launch of OS X Mavericks, offering users even more clear design and more features, Inspired by iOS. Notification Center has been expanded with the new regime "View Now" for a calendar, reminders, weather, stocks, and social networking widgets. Universal search tool Spotlight became more functional.

A preliminary version of Yosemite available to developers in June of this year. Later came the public version, in which the test is open to all interested persons . With the launch of «OS X Beta Seed Program» users who want to install on their computers beta version of the OS, not necessarily receive an official developer account.
The public version of OS X Yosemite will be released on October 16 in conjunction with the announcement of the iPad Air 2 and iMac with Retina display . The operating system will be distributed free of charge through the online store Mac App Store.
