One of the first computers Apple, Steve Jobs personally sold for $ 365,000

One of the first computers Apple, the corporation sold founder Steve Jobs, sold at auction auction house Christie`s in New York. Buyer paid for the device 365,000 dollars.

Offered for sale computer was part of the first batch of Apple-1, which was made in the summer of 1976 a friend of Jobs - inventor Steve Wozniak. Initially, Wozniak assembled device for personal use and only later decided to sell it.
Computer user was Charles Ricketts from California, Apple even one is named after its first owner.
"It all started with the Apple-1 and from that computer. Few people remember seeing a child playing with an iPad or iPhone, that the beginning of all this put Apple-1. Many certainly seem tempting idea to get the very device that started the digital revolution" - commented Andrew Makvinish, director of trading at Christie`s objects of decorative art.
Bought at auction copy was sold directly Corporation founder Steve Jobs and taken out of the garage at his parents' house in Los Altos (California, USA), when the future founder of Apple was just 21 years old. The original bill in 1976 with the specified value in the $ 600 computer was attached to the lot.
23 years Ricketts sold computer in 2004 at an auction in Virginia it was purchased by a collector Bob Luther.
The computer operates to this day, it is equipped with Microsoft Basic program and the game StarTrek, Apple established expert to verify that the machine in October 2014.
Currently, there are only 43 Apple computer that age, but only six of them are still functioning.
