"Employees who have same-sex partners, must be allowed to legalize their relationship if they made that choice. Examples of these pairs should be treated as well as to heterosexual" - said in the petition.
According to the applicants, in the face of Apple and Google, the existing laws are forcing business "to discriminate against certain employees, which is contrary to corporate values."As a result, suffers from economic growth.
To date, same-sex unions are allowed in 37 states and the District of Columbia. At the end of last year in Utah allowed gay marriage, but two weeks later banned again: local authorities have demanded to suspend the registration of homosexual couples to review their appeal against the judgment.
The hearing will begin on April 28. A decision is expected in late June. It is either legalize same-sex unions throughout the United States, or to maintain the current system under which States shall settle the question yourself.
