MediaTek rebranded its own processors

Since last week the company MediaTek held rebranding of its own processors. Henceforth chips Chinese manufacturer will go under the brand Helio, and not MTXXXX, as before, where the first two letters refer to the name of the company. For example, the flagship processor MT6795 is now called Helio X10.

The company says that the name is much easier to remember, besides, it sounds better. Note that similar products have code names and company Qualcomm, whose latest Snapdragon chip 810 has a number MSM8994, which means MSM Mobile Station Modem.
