AMD CEO revealed the release date of processors on Zen 3

AMD CEO Lisa Su confirmed that by the end of the year the company will present the first Ryzen 4000 desktop processors based on the new proprietary Zen 3 microarchitecture. According to the head of the company, Zen 3 preliminary tests showed excellent results, and now the chips are ready to enter the market.

Presumably consumer Ryzen 4000 will enter the stage of mass production in August. Previously, the vendor introduced the AMD B550 chipset - more affordable motherboards compatible with the flagship models compatible with Ryzen 3000/4000 processors have already appeared in retail stores.

Samsung may abandon Qualcomm chips in the production of flagship smartphones

Despite the established practice of Samsung to release flagship devices of the Galaxy S series in two versions (with Exynos and Qualcomm processors depending on the region), according to network informants, the company may refuse Snapdragon chips next year.

The key reason for this decision is expected to be the high price of the Snapdragon 875 processor, which will significantly increase the cost of the Samsung Galaxy S21. Samsung’s desire to follow in the footsteps of Apple, which launches new gadgets exclusively based on its own line of mobile processors, is also possible.

Apple is developing a QR code payment system

In the course of studying the code of the iOS 14 operating system, enthusiasts managed to find a mention of a contactless payment method using Apple Pay and using graphic QR codes. It seems that the developers are really considering introducing a similar payment on their smartphones. Thus, users could be able to scan codes using a camera and confirm payment through biometrics.

Whether this function will appear with the release of a new version of the mobile OS this fall is still unknown.

Samsung Galaxy Note20 will receive a new feature for the pen S Pen

According to YouTube blogger Jimmy is Promo, who previously showed photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note20 long before the announcement, the flagship smartphone will be able to flexibly adjust the sensitivity of the S Pen stylus. Thus, the informant assures that the user will be able to control the speed of movement or additionally configure the accessory in the laser pointer mode during presentations.

In addition, Samsung can activate for the S Pen in the Galaxy Note20 the possibility of end-to-end navigation through the interface, as well as when connected to a DeX dock. The presentation of the Galaxy Note20 is officially confirmed and will be held on August 5.
