August 4, two weeks after the announcement of the fourth beta 8 iOS, Apple introduced the fifth test release of a new mobile platform. Operating system is tested for more than two months and almost completely free from the errors. In this article we have collected all the changes we found in iOS 8 beta 5.
All the features of iOS 8 beta 5:
- The build number of the new firmware 12A4345d.
- The update is available for iPhone 5s/5c/5/4S, iPod touch 5G, iPad 2/3/4 and iPad mini half.
- Download iOS 8 beta 5 on our website for developers in the iOS Dev Center.
- To use the fifth beta version of iOS 8 need iTunes 11.2 or later. Note: iOS 7 backups can not be restored on iOS devices 8.
- Along with iOS 8 released a new version tool Xcode beta 5.
- Annex "Health", a new measured value - spirometry (measuring volume and speed performance breathing used to diagnose such diseases and assessment of breathing apparatus).
- New iCloud icon in operating system settings.
- New icons Customize family access points, iCloud Drive, Backup and Keychain.
- iPad and Mac sends a request to use the Continuity function for sending SMS to phone number iPhone.
- The interface is almost completely localized into Russian.
- Security Settings for Health applications.
- New sound after sending a voice message in iMessage.
- New switch "Show on the screen is locked" in the appendix Health.
- Item HomeData renamed HomeKit in Settings -> Privacy.
- Removed from the panel dimmer settings Wallpaper.
- Validity iOS 8 beta 5 will expire October 6, 2014.
- Along with iOS 8 beta 5 released a new beta version of firmware for the Apple TV.
- Calls from iPad and Mac via iPhone to work correctly.
- Siri now lets you manage applications, iBooks and Podcasts.
- New icons in the program Health.
- Photo optimization option: You can store photos and videos optimized for the device and in the cloud - content at full resolution, or to keep the originals and the device and in the cloud.
- Lags disappeared when calling search Spotlight: animation runs smoothly.
- Improved search Spotlight, appeared detailed tips.
- Other calendars in the Mail, addresses, calendars (thx Sarhan Rustamov).
- New option to export data from the Health.
- Attached photos appeared statistics on the number of pictures and videos stored in iCloud.
- New option "Predictive" in language choice tap and hold the button on the keyboard.
