Official YouTube client for iOS will be supported 1440p resolution

Google is preparing a new version of the YouTube app for the mobile platform Apple. The main innovation there will be support for "ultra-high" resolution of 1440p. Currently iOS-YouTube client loses trailers with quality of 144p to 1080p.

Resolution 1440p will be in demand among the owners of the iPad and iPad mini display Retina. In these devices, the display has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. When this option is selected a resolution, 1440p, probably will not be available on the iPhone models and iPad, which do not support it physically. Thus, only users of Retina-tablet should benefit from this innovation.
YouTube client for Android already allows you to play video 1440p. This option has been available on all smartphones with displays Quad HD: Oppo Find 7, Vivo Xplay 3S, Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A and Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro.

Recall that in June of this year, YouTube video has received support from the increased number of frames / sec. In particular, the video service an opportunity to place clips at 60 frames / sec (up to this time limit is 24 fps). Downloadable videos of users began to look more "alive" and entertaining, say the creators of the service.
Overall innovation in the first place players and game developers - such records are now available on YouTube (when viewing it is necessary to set the format of HD or higher).
