Although Intel has not apply a little effort and spend huge amounts of money, ARM still remains a major player in the market of mobile processors. Despite this, the company Imagination Technologies, known for its mobile graphics chip PowerVR, presented its own 64-bit processor MIPS Warrior I6400. According to the manufacturer and the test results for the benchmark CoreMark, this chip is 30-50% more productive 64-bit competitors.
According to Imagination Technologies, Warrior I6400 has a much lower power consumption and high performance, compared to competing solutions due to technical superiority.
Recall that the support for 64-bit processors in the Android-powered devices will appear, along with the release of a new version of the operating system Android L (5.0). Imagination Technologies believes high hopes for its development and hopes that handset manufacturers will give preference to its processors.
