Sony has introduced its counterpart smart "glasses" Google Glass. The device was called Sony SmartEyeglass and is still only at the prototype stage. If the design points from Google seem unusual to you, the machine from Sony looks even more futuristic and more like a conventional 3D-glasses.
Inside SmartEyeglass located 3-megapixel camera, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, light sensor, microphone and battery. Unlike Google Glass, glasses from Sony both glasses act as a full-fledged monochrome displays, which have a thickness of 3 mm and transparent by 85%, which consume less energy.
And although Sony SmartEyeglass yet are only a prototype, now they can connect to a number of smartphones running on the operating system Android 4.1 or later. Also one of the main differences from the Google Glass is that these points do not need to create separate applications - they will be paired with the already released applications for smartphones. To do this, Sony has developed a special set of tools and application that simulates SmartEyeglass. The company plans to release a consumer version of the end of March 2015. The cost of "smart" glasses Sony yet unknown.
