Earlier this week, the resource WinFuture published two dozen screenshots with the desktop "Nine." They confirmed a number of rumors about the operating system: the new "Start" menu with "live" tiles, notification center, "windowed" mode applications for Windows, virtual desktops and find a new icon on the taskbar. On Friday, there was a video with a demonstration of the "Start" menu in Windows 9 , on the next day - a virtual desktop of the new platform.
According to rumors, Microsoft intends to merge its three operating systems - Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone - into one. In Redmond intend to keep Windows in the same way, how is Canonical system with Linux-Ubuntu: a single code base operating system, which varies depending on the form factor devices - smartphone, tablet, PC or TV, plus a universal app, able to adapt to the characteristics of the final environment. It is expected that this will happen in the next release of Windows.
Presentation of the beta version of Windows 9 is expected on September 30. Output of the new platform is scheduled for April next year.
