Apple added to the iPhone Emoji with gesture Spock

Apple intends to extend the standard set of "emoticons" operating systems iOS and OS X gesture "Live long and prosper", which showed the character of sci-fi TV series "Star Trek", according to Quartz.

Gesture Spock first appeared in the second season of "Star Trek", together with the phrase "Live long and prosper". He is hand raised with palm forward divorced middle and ring finger and thumb extended. The gesture was coined by actor Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock. A similar gesture he saw in the synagogue, where he went with his parents as a child.
Note that in the iOS 8.3 update list of emoticons Emoji significantly updated. Apple added new icons and simplified method for selecting color for "emoticons". Five shades for emoticons, recall, appeared in OS with the second beta. The fourth beta all Emoji with dark hair became blond .

With version iOS 8.3 Apple products owners can use Emoji depicting same-sex family - two dads or two moms with children.
