Bosch introduced the concept of a “charged" electric bike

When advised not to reinvent the wheel, it means that to do something better is almost impossible, and most importantly - pointless. It seems that Bosch decided to prove the opposite. The company has proposed a new electric bike concept with a futuristic design and advanced features.

It is important to note that at the moment, EBike Design Vision is just a concept. A bicycle cannot be tested, but, according to the manufacturer, some of the developments will be applied in new models in the coming years. Bosch describes its development as an “urban sports cruiser.” As the control part, the on-board computer Nyon is used, which is involved in the latest models of serial motorcycles manufactured by Bosch.

The on-board computer along with a small color screen is integrated into the steering wheel, and all wires, levers and hydraulics are carefully hidden or masked. One of the advanced features of the bike was Bosch eBike ABS, which stabilizes the bike under hard braking, adjusting the pressure in the front brake and preventing the rear of the bike from rising. The system activates whenever the passenger presses the brakes hard and the sensors detect that the front wheel may be locked. The same system is used in the company's motorcycles.

The demonstration of the new electronic bike concept was timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the first Bosch electric bike drive system. According to the manufacturer, electric bicycles are becoming increasingly popular as a convenient and environmentally friendly means of transportation.
