Prss was launched in 2013 by a team of TRVL - creators of one of the first iPad-magazine kiosk Apple Newsstand. TRVL won several awards, received positive reviews in the iBooks Store, and was mentioned in the speech, Tim Cook during the conference WWDC 2012. According to the publication, the experience and development team Prss will be used for the development of iBooks and Newsstand.
«Apple from time to time buys smaller technology companies, but we do not discuss our purpose or plans," - commented on the information to Apple.
In 2012, Apple released iBooks Author - a program for Mac, with which publishers can impose interactive books. Apparently, in Cupertino decided to make life easier for print magazines to attract them to your shop.
It is reported that the team that worked on Prss, full staff went to work for Apple. Earlier this year, the founder of a startup Prss Michel Elings wrote in his microblog that he was going to move to Palo Alto (CA).
In Prss on the magazine can run simultaneously up to 30 people. Been drawn up as soon as the magazine, you can download it on your iPad. Service allows you to easily update and complement the content in mobile applications.
