Initially, journalists, citing their own trusted sources, said that by the end of 2020, Sony would produce 5 million PlayStation 5 consoles. Then the press representatives were afraid that there might not be enough of all consoles. However, now the same insiders have reported that Sony is doubling the circulation - in 2020, the corporation will roll out 10 million devices.
The data provided by Bloomberg almost coincides with the information of the Nikkei portal, which said that the number of PS5 will increase from six to nine million copies. Recall that the debut edition of the PlayStation 4 amounted to 7.5 million copies.
Mass production of PlayStation 5 consoles was launched in June. The start of sales is scheduled for the winter holidays of 2020. The device will be delivered in two variations - with and without a drive. By the way, not everyone liked the appearance of the console.
