In February at the MWC 2014 Gionee company unveiled the thinnest smartphone in the world Gionee Elife S5.5, whose thickness is in the main part of the body is only 5.5 mm. It seems that the company is not going to give a place of superiority to anyone else. On the just-released teaser shows a comparison of the thickness of a few smartphones that at one time were considered one of the most subtle: Motorola V8 (11,9 mm), Apple iPhone 4 (9.3 mm), Motorola XT910 (7,1 mm) and actually, Gionee Elife S5.5 (5,5 mm). Next on the list, according to the company, will be its new smartphone lineup Elife S.
According to a number of leaks , the device will be called Gionee Elife S4.8, and its thickness is less than 5 mm. It is reported that the device will be equipped with 4.8-inch Super AMOLED-display, quad-core Qualcomm processor with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, support for LTE, 8-megapixel main camera and the battery capacity of 2050 mAh.
The company does not disclose the date of the presentation, however, it is likely that we will see a new product at the upcoming IFA 2014, which will be held early next month in Berlin.
