Research company Jana published infographic that shows why the manufacturers of all the most popular smartphones issue with wide screen display. As it turned out, the reason lies in the desire of consumers to work with large screens. The company conducted a survey among 1400 people in developing countries, such as Brazil, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, South Africa and Vietnam. Asked what would be the optimal diagonal of the display in their next smartphone, the majority has chosen to 5 inches. And in South Africa and Brazil, the majority of users prefer a smartphone screen size 5.5 inches.
This situation is explained by the fact that in developing countries people have a relatively low level of income, so for many smart phone is not just a tool for making calls but also a home theater and a games console.
