In its official Twitter-account, HTC announced that the smartphone HTC 8X will receive an upgrade to the operating system Windows Phone 8.1 in the next month. Earlier, Microsoft has stopped the spread of Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 Developer Preview for HTC 8X and 8S in the absence of the drivers needed for the upgrade. HTC Company shall provide the necessary software, after which Microsoft will release an update.
With the upgrade to Windows Phone 8.1 HTC 8X owners receive a host of innovations, including the voice assistant Cortana, Notification Center, and more. Unfortunately, it is not known when the update will be available for HTC 8S.
