Samsung will supply the displays for iPad Air 2 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro

According to Taiwanese industry publication Digitimes, Apple has retained the services of Samsung for the production of display panels for tablets iPad Air second generation and the new iPad Pro.

It is reported that Samsung Display will begin to supply the screens size 9.7 and 12.9 inches, designed for the new iPad. The panels will be made on technology PLS (Plane Line Switching). Shipments will begin in the near future, to have time to meet the demand of the customer, indicating the source.
The report publication also notes that LG Display supplies for Apple about two-thirds of mobile displays, which are used in the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch, the total number of Asian created by this class of products.
It is expected that the launch of iPad Pro will be held in the first half of 2015, the new iPad Air debut in the fall. The first model will get a 12.9-inch screen, powerful processor A8X and 2 GB of RAM, the second - a fingerprint scanner A8 processor and a thinner body.
