Samsung has developed a unique technology for unlocking smartphones

Fingerprint scanners built into the display provide a high level of protection for smartphones, but even they can be tricked using various hacking methods. Samsung’s new development, highlighted in the US Patent Office, is designed to strengthen the “line of defense” of gadgets, significantly increasing the reliability of the biometric sensor.

Samsung's Published Patent Application Demonstrates New Biometrics Unlock Technology for Mobile Devices According to the document, three prints will be read immediately, and not one, like most modern devices. It is expected that this will significantly increase the resistance of the gadget to breaking with the help of the generated skin patterns.

The area of sensors on the screen will be highlighted whenever the user decides to unlock the smartphone. In addition, as an alternative, the technology will give the device owner the ability to access by playing back a pre-registered individual stroke or a simple drawing in the reading area.

The date of the appearance of the first commercial devices supporting the new technology is not reported.
