Connector next-generation Type-C is designed for devices with USB 3.1 and 2.0 and is comparable in size to the Lightning-plug. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that users no longer have to guess which way to insert the cable into the USB-slot. With the currently existing USB connectors Connector Type-C compatible, so to connect it require special cables and adapters. However, its appearance will produce ultra-thin electronic devices.

The advantages of Type-C is the reduction of the size of the connectors, which will also have a universal form (do not have to worry about which side to connect the cable), support for high-power devices and charging a significantly higher data rate (probably up to 10 Gbit / s).

Another useful feature that is worth special attention, is the versatility Type-C. The creators claim that now will be used as a USB charging gadgets and content delivery, and for, say, a video broadcast. Final performance report will be published in July, and the first products to use interface Type-C, appear at the end of the year.
Observers say that the Promoter Group following the example of Apple, which released in 2012, a universal connector Lightning for iPhone 5 and the latest models of iPad and iPod.
