Leonardo DiCaprio turned down the role of Steve Jobs in a new movie Sony

Boyle and DiCaprio worked together for almost 14 years, ever since rolling out the "The Beach", where Leo has played a major role, and only Aaron Sorkin still has not worked yet, none of them. And it's not likely to Boyle: Just a director could easily subscribe to a screen biography of Walter Isaacson authorship. The point is DiCaprio, who has signed for a role in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu in "returning". Shooting in this tape should start in October, and it's quite possible it prevented Leo try on the mask of Steve Jobs.

By the way, it should be noted that in the spring of director David Fincher, who declined to definitively from the project, lost the opportunity to work on this tape, not because he wanted too much money, but mainly because demanded more control over the process than Sony were willing to grant him. However, wishes and financial director, seems to have also played a role.
One of the producers is a biopic Scott Rudin, author of the script - Aaron Sorkin. The film is based on the biography of Steve Jobs, written by Walter Isaacson.
Sony Pictures plans to stay no ordinary biopic, but something more original. Painting will consist of three stages of 30 minutes, the effect of which will take place in real time on the eve of the launch of new products Apple. In half an hour, "cinematic" time can fit days, months, years or even a whole historical epoch. However, in the new movie about Jobs half an hour of screen time completely match the original 30 minutes. Action episodes will occur against the backdrop of the upcoming presentations Macintosh, NeXT and iPod.
