Chapter Cyanogen: Samsung will die in 5 years

Cyanogen project manager for the development of an alternative version of Android Kirt McMaster believes that Samsung over five years will leave the market. He stated this in an interview with Business Insider.
Die-1

According to McMaster, manufacturers of available devices, such as Xiaomi and Micromax, within 3-5 years to capture the market. Large companies like Samsung suffer the fate of Nokia and Blackberry. Apple will also have problems because they do not have experience in dealing in the budget segment. However, the accumulation of large cash allows Californians to survive the crisis, he added.
Over time, small producers will be able to produce affordable device that will easily work with the same software as powerful products from well-known brands, McMaster said. He recalled that Micromax has already won the Indian market, and ahead of China's Xiaomi Samsung.
Over the past few years, the mobile market has changed significantly. Nokia went to the back, Motorola changed hands twice (first Google, then Lenovo), the share of Blackberry tends to zero, the mobile division of Sony suffers losses, and Samsung is experiencing tremendous pressure from Apple and the many Chinese manufacturers. At the same time, the iPhone maker still sells the best smartphones, but the release does not think low-end models.
