According to Magnus, the reason for the deterioration of the camera is the lack of some key security DRM device after unlocking the bootloader, which leads to malfunction of the proprietary image processing technology. DRM keys usually have nothing to do with the use of cameras and image processing algorithms, but it seems that the Xperia Z3 Compact is not.
The company Sony warns that unlocking the bootloader in its devices can lead to unexpected problems: possible errors in the pre-installed applications, a security breach of some data user stops receiving official software updates and, in the worst case, failures in the hardware and overheating.
