On the eve of the International Earth Day (celebrated on April 22) Apple has released a video on its achievements in the field of environmental protection. The company says it has reached an incredible success in the fight against climate change on the planet.

"To date, 87% of the energy used by Apple worldwide comes from renewable sources, while in 2013 the figure was 73%. The goal of Apple - a 100 per cent of all enterprises and supply of building energy from renewable sources" - said in a statement.
All retail stores Apple Store in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, the US and Australia have already provided 100% of energy from renewable sources.
In China, Apple is working in partnership with SunPower and four local organizations on a project using solar energy in Sichuan, where it will be made up to 80 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year. This would be enough to power approximately 61,000 households in the country. That's more energy than is required to supply all the company's corporate offices and retail stores in China.
In the US, all production facilities Apple, including corporate offices, centers of data storage and processing, as well as retail stores, 100% provides energy from renewable sources.
