Apple is implementing a project to build two new solar power plants with a total capacity of 40 MW in the southwest of China to fulfill its obligations in the field of environment and climate. According to a top manager of Apple, the project will annually provide electricity for 61,000 homes and to supply the power grid in China in addition to 80 million kW / h of clean energy per year. "We are delighted to such indicators as they are much higher than the total volume of electricity consumed by all our offices and shops in China" - stated the representative of the company in an interview with Xinhua.
In the project will include two rows of solar panels that will be installed in 85 km from each other, in the territory of Hongyuan County and Zhoergay / Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. "We will file a clean energy to the local power supply and buy it there, where our stores and offices," - said Jackson.
The creation of such an object - a unique project of Apple outside the United States. Thanks to its implementation China enters the list of countries where all corporate divisions Apple is working solely by renewable energy. These have included the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Australia, Spain and Italy.
As noted by Jackson, to implement a new project Apple is working with a group of partners, among them - the American corporation SunPower and four Chinese companies: Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor, Tianjin Jinlian Investment Holding, Sichuan Development Holding and Leshan Electric Power Company.
An Apple spokesman expressed the hope that the project will serve as an example for the Chinese company's suppliers in China. US giant computer electronics is currently working with 334 local businesses.
